Nuaptana is a small town in the Cuttack district of Odisha. Though a small town still there are few places of attraction in and around Nuapatna. The city is famous for handloom and textiles items. One can find waving shuttle, charkha and many other items at small hand-loom outlets of the city. The town is very famous for its Khadua Silk and Ikat sarees. The town
has various hand-loom centers where a lot of people are employed. Famous temple called Kapileswar in Manapur village is located near Nuapatna.
Nuapatna co-ordinates at 20.449171°North and 85.464492°East. According to the 2001 census of India the town of Nuapatna had a population of 7,846. The town has an average literacy rate of 65%. The town has a rich culture and a lot of festivals are celebrated in the town. You will find active participation from all members of the town. they celebrate festival like Diwali, Durga Puja, Ganesh Puja, Rath Yatra etc.
There are various places of interest also which are situated near the town. The Budha temple, Kapileswar temple in the Manipur Village are some examples of the various important places that we can find near the town. Despite such religious places the whole town is very famous because of the handloom cottages that one can find in the town.
